If after reading the requirements below, you are interested in becoming a member of Miss Florida Softball, please email [email protected].  Youth fastpitch recreational softball leagues only.  No individual teams, and no travel teams or outside organizations allowed.  We typically have a waiting list, so there may not always be an opening.


Youth Fastpitch Softball League requirements in order to preserve and protect ALL league, and the integrity of recreational softball, as a whole. 


  1. No registered rec team within your league may register and/or participate in travel tournaments throughout the season, any sanction. 

  2. No travel coaches (that also coach rec) can draft more than 4 players from their travel team on their rec team for the season. 

  3. No more than 40% of travel pitchers and/or catchers per team in the division, unless they are spread out evenly amongst all teams in the division of that league. IF the league is small, and/or has 60% or more of travel players on the team, even when spread out amongst all rec teams in the league, that team is NOT able to participate in mid-season tournament, but those players may participate in all-stars.

  4. Game requirements for players are 2/3 of the season, or 10 games. 

  5. Excel format export of entire league rosters with first and last name a birth dates are required to be submitted 48 hours after your league drafts their teams.

  6. Prior to the all-star tournament, ALL participating leagues join together to verify birth certificates and game counts from team scorebooks from opposing leagues, at a required in person.

  7. Leagues must have at least 1 rec team that participates in mid season to participate in all-stars. 

  8. Fees/cost: $150 spring league fee up front to apply/register/sanction with Miss Florida, plus a $25 per league team ransom fee (whether they participate in mid season or not). $225 per team for midseason registered (2 game guarantee - location rotates amongst qualified participating leagues); $450 per team for all-star tournament. Prices may vary - this is a budget guess for next season, based on locations. Fees will be confirmed before the start of spring season at the time of registration for Miss Florida. 

  9. Dates: Mid-season tournament will typically be the weekend before or after the Easter holiday. All-star tournament will typically be the week or two after Memorial Day. Both tournaments are Friday-Sunday; Friday night games are 7pm and 8:30pm.  Leagues required to play Friday evening will be announced early in the Spring season, based on host location.

  10. For All-Stars only, all leagues MUST include the Miss Florida official logo on the sleeve of their jerseys. This will be provided to you when you request them. Non-compliance equates to removal from Miss Florida.

Fee schedule (subject to change):

January 15th - Sanction fee is due - $150 per league
February 15th - Ransom fee is due - $25 per league
March 15th - Mid Season Tournament fee is due - $225 per team, $50 per t-ball team (no refunds)
April 15th - All-Star fee is due - $450 per team, $150 per t-ball team (no refunds)

Payments are required to be post marked no later than the due date if paying by check, or your league will not participate.  Virtual payments are required to be received no later than midnight of payment due date.  No exceptions.
